Stephen P. Calder graduated from the University
of Utah with a B.S. in 1974. He received his Juris
Doctorate degree in 1977 from Pepperdine University School
of Law in Malibu, California (top 20% of his class). His
love of litigation and trial work began with an internship in
the Orange County, California Public Defender's Office. He
is married with three children, enjoys fly fishing, rock
climbing, skiing, sailing and baseball.
Mr. Calder has been honored with the legal community's
highest distinction, the prestigious "AV" rating awarded to a
select few members of the legal profession whose
exceptional legal skills, honesty and integrity have been
recognized year after year by the legal profession. He has
maintained his successful family law practice in the same
Southeast metro area for over 30 years and has served the
legal community in various capacities including as President
of the Aurora Bar Association.
Mr. Calder has, during his long legal career, in addition
to his emphasis on family law, defended numerous serious
criminal cases, including 1st degree homicide, and has to his
credit one of the largest personal injury verdicts in the
State. Although his specialty is in the field of family law,
Mr. Calder's achievements in these related litigation fields
are of great benefit to his clients in the event that his
litigation skills are needed in a particular case.
